Birthday Girl

Long time, no post. Sorry I haven't given anyone an update on our lives in forever. But we are alive and well. :) Here are some things that have happened with us in the last month or so.

1. We moved into our apartment in Idaho Falls. Its a good size for us and we really like it. Oh wait... our neighbors below us SMOKE in the apartment A LOT so our place smells like smoke every now and then. Its annoying and I have been trying to talk to the manager about it but communication has been difficult with him. We have purchased a few things of febreeze that have become my best friend. Dan thinks the smell is in my head most of the time. I disagree. We also got a really delicious air freshner. It looks sort of like this. So it's cute and it smells good. win-win.

2. My lovely cousin Celeste got married. It was a beautiful wedding. i don't really have any pics because I forgot my camera. I'm a really bad cousin apparantly. Anyway, her dress was gorgeous and she looked beautiful. It was a happy occasion. At the reception people got up and were saying nice things in the microphone about the couple. My cousin McCall and I knew we had to say something because us three are really close. So me and mccall went off and tried to come up with something clever and funny to say and right when we came up with the greatest thing... the mic closed down for people to talk. Well, they let us come up anyway and it was embarrassing because people made a big deal that we HAD to go up there and turns out what we said wasn't as funny as we thought it was. Still... overall... a success. The night before we had a shower and bachelerette party for Celestey. We went bowling and had a blast being silly...and naughty. Heres a pic from the shower. 3. Dan kicked open and broke our front door. I actually do have pictures of this but I don't have my camera with me so I will upload them at another time. Anyway... Heres the story. Another really big plus about our apartment is the locks are ridiculous. The dead bolt works okay but the other lock is messed up. It will lock but it will NOT unlock. We generally don't lock that one except at night but one day Dan wasn't thinking and just locked it before we left. We went throughout the day having a lovely and carefree time with eachother. We rented some movies and came back home to enjoy them. Well our key was not unlocking the door. We stood there for who knows how long trying to get it unlocked. We gave up and went to McDonalds. When it still didn't open after trying again we went to some friends house. Then Dan decides he CAN get it open. Which he does. However, he was sick of trying to get it unlocked and decided it would be super cool to kick the door down. So thats what he did. Well it let us in the house but it also took the door frame off the wall. NICE. luckily we are handy folks and we have fixed it ourselves. No big deal that now our lock works worse, you can see where we glued the frame back on, and now the wall surrounding the door is a different color then the rest of the wall because the white spray paint didn't match up exactly. But other than that I think it looks great. It was pretty hilarious so it was hard for us to be really upset about it. Here is a pic of what Dan looked like. 4. We have been working all the time. Carinos Italian is where we spend most of our time. It is a good job. especially while we are going to school. Dan has to wear a brace to work because of his floppy foot. Sadly, his brace has very recently broken in half. It was specially made for his leg and cost a grand so I'm really hoping its under warranty still.
5. FINALS. SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER. I have two days left of class and then the semester is over. YES YES YES. I have three finals to go. It shouldn't be too bad but I will be studying a lot over the next day or two. I'm just so happy this semester is over. It went incredibly fast.

That is basically what is going on with us at the moment. Unless you want to count the fact that I am reading the Twilight series again. and I love the movie. and I can't wait for the movie 17 Again to come out because Zac Efron is in it and it looks fabulous. But Dan does NOT want to count that so there ya go. :)

Day of Loooove

Happy Valentines Day! yaaay! Dan and I both worked all day on the actual Valentines Day so we celebrated yesterday. It was so great. We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse and then went to the movies. Dan is a sweetheart and took me to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. I don't think he loved it too much but I thought it was so cute. Completely different than the book but still awesome!



Presents! Dan got Dodgeball and The Flight of the Conchords and I got the Office and a KNIFE. YES!


I'm just so thankful to be married to such a stellar dude. He is my best friend and I love him more than anything! He is so good to me and I couldn't ask for a more bad A husband.

Snowmobiles, Sledding, and Game Time

This last week our friends Brandon and Stephanie came up from Utah. Steph's grandparents live in Ririe (where me and Dan are living) and have an incredible place. It is stocked with snow clothes, snow mobiles, and everything else related to the snow. Our friendsies the Evans, Kulischs, and us got to go play with them and we had such a blast! The snow is so much more fun when you can play in it.
This is my loving husband giving me the "fat boy". He put ALL his weight on me and smushed me! I couldn't breathe. He thinks he is so hilarious. Too bad for him, I totally beat him a snow fight after this. ;)

We found a jump on the hill and made it our goal to hit it over and over. This time pretty much bent me in half.

The last jump of the night and Brandon's sled decided to stop. Brandon however kept going over the jump and ended up flipping over it. Funny... but also painful!

NeW yEaR- nEw AdVeNtUrEs

So 2009 has brought forth a lot of new changes for Dan and I. First and for most... we moved back to Idaho! We both need to finish school and transfering down to schools in Utah would take at least a year longer! Not worth it! So we are currently living in Ririe, Idaho. We're staying with Dan's parents until we find a place of our own to move into. It is really hard for me to not be near my family but it is so much fun to be near Dan's again.

We are both full time students this semester (yahoo!) I'm going to BYU-I and Dan's taking online classes through ISU. School is pretty stressful like usual, but its nice to be getting it done and over with. Hopefully we will both graduate by next winter!

We also both got new jobs! We are both serving at Carino's Italian Grill. Dan worked there before we left but I have never worked at a restuarant. I've been training this week which has been overwhelming but its not too bad. Hopefully it will be a good job for us. Our friends Ryan and Whittney work there too so its awesome awesome!

Kulisch Wedding

The day after Christmas our friends Ryan and Whittney came down from Idaho and we all piled in the car and drove to San Diego! Our friends Stephanie and Dave got married Dec. 27th. It was a beautiful wedding and so much fun! I don't have very many pictures of the reception or anything but if i get some, I will post them! We are so happy for them!! Well Scott and Maribeth are at least married. There is no excuse for Dan's behaivor.

Christmas Time!

wow I haven't posted in FOREVER! Well let me go back a ways and catch you all up on our lives. Of course there was CHRISTMAS which was such a blast. My parents and my little sister drove out from Alabama to enjoy the holidays with the rest of the kids. We all stayed down at my brother Danes house and woke up early Christmas morning to see that Santa had come! Dan and I got a 72 hour kit, SETTLERS OF CATAN (our favorite game right now!), the Dark Knight, some clothes, Dan got Swords and a remote control airplane, and we got a giant clock that says "Families are Forever" that I LOVE. It was a great Christmas and it was so fun to just be with family and not have any other worries! I love the holidays!
