Tis the Season to be Jolly

It is almost December! What?! Goodness gracious the last few months have gone by crazy fast. Good news is, it's Christmas time! I love this time of the year so so much. It makes me feel all cozy. We put up Christmas yesterday which is always a good time. We listened to the greats singing Christmas songs and watched the Polar Express, ELF, Harry Potter (1 AND 2), and A Muppet's Christmas Carol. Not all yesterday... that would be insane. But you know, since Thanksgiving ended and Christmas started.

Anyway, things are so happy right now! We are in our new house, which we love. An outlet mall was just built RIGHT NEXT TO US, so that is wonderful news. I feel it was meant to be for us to live in that location. I think I have started nesting though because I have decided to take on like 500 projects, and unfortunately for Dan, I need his help on most of them. We have been painting, reupholstering, and crafting like crazy people lately. Luckily, he's a sweety and is putting up with me!

We stayed here for Thanksgiving and went to dinner with my sister at her inlaws. It was delicious food and really fun. We played this game called Wits and Wagers. It is a trivia game so I thought I would hate it. Dan is too good at trivia for me to ever have any fun, but it was actually the bomb.com and I want to get it. I really love my sister's inlaws. They are good folk.

Our little man is ALMOST HERE. Holy crapola!  Only 4 weeks away. I'm so excited! and scared! I've been focusing on getting things ready for him, but now I need to try and get me ready. I mean he has been pretty easy to take care of inside my belly, but it makes me so nervous to think he will actually be a human, here with us in just a couple of weeks! How crazy! and awesome! I think he will be the best behaved, smartest, and funniest baby around. Obviously. And he will never poop on me. Maybe on Dan, but not me. Anyway, like I said, I think I am nesting. I just want to clean everything all the time. And that is so not like me. I also want to sleep all the time. But that is very much like me. Dan has to literally push me out of bed now because I am too big and uncomf to move myself. I have mastered rolling while he shoves me and then I basically plop off the bed and stand up. It works pretty good and does a lot for my self esteem.

Well in lieu of Thanksgiving and the Christmas season, I want to say that we are so grateful for so much right now. We have amazing family and friends that have taken such good care of us and are always looking out for us. We wouldn't be where we are without them! Also, I am the luckiest girl ever to have a guy like Dan. He works so hard and makes me laugh always. I lurve him like a billion. I'm grateful for this holiday season where we can all be a little more Christlike!

I got this new app... iSwap faces. hahahahhahahahaha.
Our housey house. Dan thinks the color is the ugliest thing ever. Oh well.

Oh my, teehee. This is a hat we just got for a little buddy. Isn't it so funny and cute!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!!!

USA USA USA

Last week was the Fourth of July. My family came down to my brother's house and we had a giant cookout. We had enough food to feed the whole neighborhood and then some. But we are champs and stuffed ourselves silly. We got out the slip-n-slide, the kiddy pool, and the giant umbrella to just relax outside all day long. I lurved it. I love July 4th. Everyone is so patriotic and happy. Especially in my family. America= the best ever. I decided I would kick off the day with a Independence Day monologue to get my family pumped. I memorized the speech about Indepence Day from the movie Independence Day. You know the one that goes, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight, etc etc". Very motivating and inspiring. Any way, it was going to be classic, but when I walked outside to do it, our neighbors were all out there and I was embarrassed and chickened out. Epic failure. Ah well, I will have to find a different opportunity to make a fool out of myself. :)

I was worried about the firework shows since there have been so many fires around here. There were bans in almost every city from lighting off your own fireworks, but luckily, the shows were still able to go on. We just went down the street a little bit and were able to see the whole valley and the fireworks were pretty close. It was fabbity fab. I think my favorite are the ones that fountain out and are gold. My 3 year old neice said, "Oh my heck, that is so weird. How does that even happen?". I agree, fireworks are totally magical.

So this is the best picture we got of the night. We look really cute. Turns out the flash on my phone is incredibly bright. Anyway, Happy 4th!

Other news: My sister-in-law is about to have a baby. I can't freaking wait. I'm sure she can't either but it will be fun to have a little tiny human in the house. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday and I am soooo impatient for it. I just want to hear my little buddies heart beat and make sure all is well. Plus, in like 3 and a half weeks we get to find out what we're having! AHHHHH. Babies are cool.

The Possibilities are Endless!

I feel like I am such a lazy blogger these days. I enjoy blogging so I have a way to document us but sometimes it is just hard to keep up with it. I am renewing my efforts and adding that goal to my list: Blog More.

Dan says I have a really good KIP impression. You know Kip, from Napolean Dynomite? That is so sweet of him, and he is right, of course. "You're just jealous Napolean because I get to sit at home chatting with hot babes All. Day. Long." ...Told you I was good.

Last night we went bowling. It was fun, but I really sucked. I am a really inconsistant bowler. Actually maybe not so inconsistant as just plain bad, but every now and then I get lucky and have a really good game. Last night we put bets on it. If I won I got a 30 minute massage. If Dan won, I have to somehow incorporate the phrase "The possibibilities are endless" into every phone converstation I have all day Monday at work. I obviously lost, so Monday will be a very funny day especially considering my job is 90% phone calls.

I never did document our Holiday Season so even though Christmas feels like forever ago, we had such a great time I must still write about it. We went up to Idaho to spend the holiday with Daniel's family. It was great to see everyone and so fun to spend time with them. We watched White Christmas (one of my favs) on Christmas Eve and then patiently waited for Santa to come. Or not so patiently... I woke up at 7 and was too excited I couldn't go back to sleep. I laid there and laid there til I finally couldn't wait anymore and had to wake Dan and his sister up. I'm like a child I know but I just LOVE Christmas morning. We all got spoiled and then had a delicious Christmas breakfast that Michelle made. mmmmm. The rest of the time was spent playing games and getting to see a bunch of family. It was quite a jolly time and I'm glad we got to go up there!

New Years. We are partiers. Our friend Dave As Well came down and we played games, they woke me up at 11, and we rung in the new year with some Martinelli's and jumping up and down. It was very exciting and should have been televised.

like I said... partiers

After New Years I'm always a little sad because I have to wait a full year for Christmas season again. Why does it only happen once a year? That should be changed. :)

 "Peace Out." (Kip voice again).

Under the Mistletoe (shorty, with you)

911 911 911 away. oh how much fun it is to ride in an ambulance all day! Hey!

That is the version of Jingle Bells my primary class has been signing to me each Sunday. I wish I remembered the rest of the words because it is pretty funny.

So it is one right now and I am still lying in bed. I have the worst sore throat ever, you know the kind where you can hardly swallow and talking takes too much effort to deal with? That is where I am at. I hate that! The good news: I am going to watch a serious chick flick today and love every second of it.

Just finished an amazing series- The Maze Runner. I thought it got better and better as it went on. It is about a boy who wakes up in this maze and can't remember anything about his life. There are a bunch of other boys who have been there for a while and none of them remember anything either. They have to work together to survive and all they know is someway, somehow, they have to solve the maze. Sound intense? It is. Read it.

Dan is really doing so great at his new job. I'm so proud of my sweet nugget for being such a hard worker and so good looking at the same time. I went to a work party, it was saweet. I couldn't find a dress I loved so I decided to make one, and it actually turned out to be one my favorite things I have made! Maybe I am bragging but whatever.

My sister and I ran in a 10K for my work. I wasn't prepared and it was kind of hard. Really fun tho, I am glad we did it. I wish that I would keep up with my running so when I do decide to run a race, it isn't a near death experience for me. I say that, but I haven't ran since that race, not even once. Oh well, laziness brings such joy to this life.

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving. All my cousins came down too so it was totally baller. The trip included some football, golf, black friday shopping (where I scored a sweet storage ottoman... I made my lil sister run and fight the masses to get it for me and she ended up hitting a lady in the head with it... so proud), minute to win it games, swimming, and food. So much food. It was such a fun trip- I love getting together with my whole family.

Now that the Christmas Season is upon us, my fam went up to Temple Square and checked out the lights. It is gorgeous up there. Christmas brings such a peaceful feeling, especially on Temple grounds. We ended the adventure with dinner at Tucannos. It was such a nice way to end our night- with pure gluttany. Seriously, I ate until I almost died. Vair Vair enjoyable.

It snowed the other day. It hasn't really snowed a lot so far this year, but I just love it. Let's be honest, if it snows too much more I am going to hate it, but for now the light snow every now and then is so pretty and makes me feel all homey. I love this time of year. I put Christmas up before Thanksgiving because I was too excited to wait, but now it is really Christmas time so it is wonderful. Plus I get to listen to my Groban Christmas CD every second and no one can tell me to turn it off. Man that guy can sing. And speaking of the great JOSH, did anybody see him on The Office as Andy's little brother? That was really funny. Anyway- I still have so much Christmas shopping to do. There are only 10 more days and I am sort of freaking out. I did however get my brother's present and it is so funny. I can't say what I got him in case for some weird reason he decides to read my blog, but just know, it is a winner.

Now I would like to entreat you to a billion pictures documenting our every move. All of the Thanksgiving trip pics are from my wonderfully talented cousin Katie, not me... all my pictures come from my phone.

Two Turtle Doves...

Oh I love this time of year SO much. Tis the season to be Jolly. and I am quite jolly. Thanksgiving was great! I had to work Black Friday so it was a short trip but we ventured up to Ririe, Idaho to spend the holiday with Dan's family. The roads were absolutely terrible to drive on so it tooks us over 5 hours to get there. But we made it in time to play some games, eat like crazy and relax with the fam. We haven't seen everyone since we moved so it was really fun to be with them again! Our little nephews are getting so HUGE and adorable!

Things I'm thankful for:
Summer. Fall Leaves. Dan. He is just perfect for me and makes me laugh all the time. He lets me talk his head off, whether its every aspect of my day, every detail of the shows I just watched, or why I need to be a famous movie star and what I would do if I was. He raps with me. He thinks I am funny. He is so sweet to me and can cheer me up instantly. He's a good egg and I think I'll keep him. Computers. Sewing Machines. Money. Jobs. Family. We both have such awesome families! They are the absolute best people. They support and love us unconditionally and are really funny. Road Trips. Creativity. Lakes. TVs. House Boats. Laughter. Friends. We have the coolest, funniest friends ever! Dan gets so excited to see his friengs and is happier to be with them then almost anything else. Weekends with friends are the best. Tights. Primary Callings. Cousins. Gospel. It focuses on families, progression, and happiness and its what gets us by and makes us better people. Places to live. Vampire Diaries. Cars. Pictures. Food. I would die without food. I know that is a given. But seriously, mmmm good food is just so good. For example: edamome, Smash Burger, Waffles and Dinges Truck, Shake Shack, steak with gorgonzola cheese and mushrooms, fried green beans, ice cream, thanksgiving dinner, oh man I'm drooling... Clothes. Boots. Movies. Nieces and Nephews. Books. Man there is nothing like a good book. I'm reading MINI SHOPAHOLIC right now- it is so cute and hilarious. I love that series. Harry Potter. America. Music. Furniture. Cute Bedroom Sets. Vacations. We love going on vacations. We love visiting friends and want to go EVERYWHERE we can. Baths. Airplanes. Opportunities. Love.

And now it is CHRISTMAS SEASON. Christmas music has been playing on the radio since Halloween which is really early but I don't even care because I absolutely love Christmas. I am going to pop in my Josh Groban Christmas CD and listen to that everyday from now on. I can't wait to decorate our home. I got out all of our decorations last night and plan to set them up today! I am a little sad about one thing... we don't have a tree. Here is the story... Last year after Christmas Whitt and I hit up the sales and I bought all new ornaments and decorations and everything for Christmas. I went to get a tree and yipee they were 50% off! I was about to get one when I learned that if I waited a few days they would go down to 70% off. I was all about that so I waited. And then at like the end of February all of a sudden I realized I NEVER got a freakin tree. How could I have forgotten? I was so excited about the ornaments you would think I would obsess about the tree until I had one. But I completely forgot about it and then it was too late. I know I could go buy one now but I can just get such a good deal after Christmas that I must wait. So this year we will be getting a real tree. Which I am excited about but nervous- what if I kill it or it sucks? No, it will be wonderful and Santa will love it! Yay I can't wait for Christmas. Check out JUNE site for a Christmas post coming soon to show you what I love about Christmas. Also every Christmas my dad wears an elf hat that has the elf ears attached, big reindeer slippers and his Christmas Shirt. It is the best.

My thoughts have now moved from fall leaves to cuddling up in blankies by the fire and my tastes have moved from pumpkin dreams to peppermint and hot chocolate. Light up your houses, sing some carols, and send Santa a letter.

Tis The Season To Be Jolly!!

Well this has been a really fun holiday break! I had two week off of school for Christmas and New Years and now I head back on Wednesday. (VERY depressing) But it was a blast. We spent Christmas with Dan's family in Ririe. We watched a Muppets Christmas Carol Christmas Eve and played Rockband the majority of Christmas Day. We got to open presents with Dan's neices Christmas morning, which was great... and hilarious. Every single present they opened, they would scream in excitement and say, "I have wanted this my entire life!!" It cracked me up. I LOVE Christmas time and am so bummed it's over! This was the first Christmas I spent without my parents and brothers and sisters, so that was really sad for me but it was awesome to get to be with Dan's amazing family!

We stayed here for New Years. Dan and I had to work during the day but got the night off. We went to Whitt's parents house and had a little partay with Whitt, Ryan, Whitts sister Kaylee, Ryan's Brother Travis and his wife Jenay, and Ryan's sister Shelby. We played the Wii, Guitar hero, Pictionary, and Around the World ping pong. Which is so much fun. You have to run around the ping pong table and hit the ball when its your turn and if you miss it, your out. The last person in gets to hit everyone else in the back with the ping pong ball. It was super funny. Anyway, we had enough food to feed a small country which was fabulous.
