The Blasted Stone

This last week my poor wonderful husband was attacked by kidney stones. Here is the story. We went to the movies together and then on the way home he kept saying he wasn't feeling very good. He finally pulled over so I could drive because it was getting worse. I was worried because Dan is such a tough guy and never acts like anything hurts him. It started getting really bad and he was thrashing around. He kept saying his kidney hurt so I called my dad (who has had stones a few times) and told him what Dan was dealing with. He was positive it was stones. So I drove him down to my brothers house (this is at one in the morning!) and my brother gave him a blessing. By the time we got back home, Dan maybe lasted thirty minutes before he was begging to go to the hospital. It scared me so bad because he is ANTI-doctors all the time. But he was just heaving and throwing his body around. He wasn't crying but he was close enough to it. So I got him in the car and headed to the hospital. Dan had his head out the window throwing up over and over because the pain was so bad. He threw up so hard he popped the blood vessels in his eyes! So then for the next week he looked like a demon cuz his eyes were completely blood red. yucky. But anyway, on the way there we got PULLED OVER! Because our brake light was out! I couldn't believe it! The cop came up to the window and I was basically just crying my head off saying please officer I'm trying to get him to the hospital! the cop was like okay just go, don't worry about just go! So that was nice of him. :) Then at the hospital he got an MRI and they found the stone. The doctor said it was 5mm and that it was probably too big to pass on his own but he would let Dan try. So he loaded him up with all kinds of pain medicine and sent us on our way. The pain never decreased so Dan was stoned on percocet for a week. For Thanksgiving we were going up to Idaho to stay with Dan's parents. He still hadn't passed anything so he was still in a lot of pain. On thanksgiving day, Dan ran up to me and said, "I have something really awesome to show you!" and he held out his hand. In his hand was this stone. It was HUGE. bigger than 5mm and covered in spikes. I couldn't believe he had to pee that out! But afterwards he felt immediatly better. Here it is compared to a penny. ugh! But all is well that ends well. My boyf is such a trooper.

"I'm only afraid of loosing You"

Oh how I love EDWARD. I have gotten to go see the movie TWICE! YES YES YES. The first night it opened I went with my sisters and my cousins to the midnight premire. There was a huge party in the theatre so we got there at like 9:30 and partied all night long. It was awesome. We helped my mom out and sold some of her bracelets. We were a little nervous to just approach people at first but it turns out it was such a HIT. Everyone wanted one! It was fabulous. They are freaking cute bracelets! Oh and the BEST part of it is... me and my sis Erin GOT ON TV. I think. I never actually saw us on TV but I have no doubt we were there. :) We came out of the bathroom and I saw these girls being interviewed abotu the movie. All I could think was, "wow i HAVE to get on TV" so i just sat there staring at them. When they finished the camera man noticed me staring and was like, "do you girls want to come answer a few questions?" NO DUH! So we got to go be in front of the camera and talk about Twilight. My only answer to everything was, "Edward". But so now, not only am I a move star (hsm3) but I am also a TV star. I am just SO famous! Well anyway, the next day I went to TWILIGHT AGAIN. This time I went with my girlies, Stephanie Lonas and Stephanie Marcum. annnnd surprise surprise... the boys came with us. I'm so happy my husband loves me enough to come see that movie with me b/c he had to sit there while I was swooning and sweating over Edward. :) what can I say. But it was a lot of fun and all I want to do is see it again! I thought it was such a good movie. I was incredibly impressed with how well they kept to the book. Of course they had to take out alot of things but everything that was important in the book-was in the movie. It was awesome and I LOVED IT! Even Dan loved it! Okay that is a lie... but he at least didn't think it was the worst thing he had ever seen. Yay I love twilight!

Me and Steph in our twilight gear!

The bracelet my mom made that we sold at the theater!

We are soooo excited. I nearly wet myself in anticipation.

We had awesome seats. That might have something to do with the fact that my cousins got there at 7!

Oh we are just so happy happy.

Sisters. how adorable are we.
