Vacation

Well, I am now back in school which isn't the greatest news. I'm not normally on track in the summer so it is hard to go to class when I want to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather. But it's going pretty good so far, so hopefully the semester is a good one.

We had about a week and a half between winter and summer semesters and we were able to get away for a little bit and enjoy some time off. First we got to go and see my friend Ali and her husband Ryan. I went to highschool with Ali and haven't seen her in forever so it was SOO fun to stay with them. We went to see a Kalai concert. It was AWESOME. He was so good! We then played some Mario Cart on the Wii and just hung out. I miss you already Ali!!

Then on Friday we got to see my friend Amanda get married! It was such a beautiful wedding and she looked like a princess. I was a bridesmaid so I got to help her out and give her the wedding night talk. ;) It was a lot of fun. here's us bridesmaids at the sign in book! Pretty Amanda!

Next it was easter with my family! It was so much fun. I always have such a hard time leaving when we go and stay with my parents. We had an easter egg hunt sunday morning. I wish I had pics from it because it was pretty funny. We have done it ever since I was little. You have to find your basket and then all your eggs. My parents hid little packs of mike and ikes for dan, my bro taylor and I to find and they put one inside a movie case. Luckily that was dans pack and he couldn't find it forever. poor guy. It was such a blast being there with them!

Next on the agenda was a campout in Zion National Park. Ryan and Whitt met us down in Utah and then we drove on down to Zion. When we got to the park there wasn't any room to camp in the site. That was a pretty big bummer but we drove around for a little bit and found a place just down the road. It was on a river and wasn't technically a campsite. But that made it all the more perfect. We had our own little site all to ourselves right on the river. It was so fun! We did an off-roading hike in Zion up to the emerald pools and now we all have hard-core battle wounds. Sadly the weather wasn't too great for most of the week. We got rained and snowed on but thats okay we toughed it out and had fun anyway.

we bought SOOOO much food!! it was worth it tho. we ate like kings!

This is our great campsite before we had camp set up. Isn't it perfect?

the boys had HUGE tin foil dinners

we bathed in the river... BAD IDEA! It was so freezing! I was blue from head to toe. :)some would call us BAMFswe are warriors
we made it! the third emerald pool. It is so gorgeous up there! this is the fire wood ryan collected.

our dutch oven dinners... cheesy potatoes and lemon pepper chicken. MMMMMMM. lesson learned: dutch ovens are annoying to clean...

yay it was so much fun! too bad the wind broke our tent and then we accidentally broke it a little more so now it's a little bit useless. But it's okay because it had a good life and we had a great time.
